Domestic Violence

You are NOT alone

I felt so alone when I was going through abuse. I thought no one would believe me much less care.  I am here today to tell you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!  People DO care! But you have to share your story and tell the right people. When you are ready. Don’t use the excuse that you have no place to go, nowhere to turn, no one to help you. They are all excuses! If you tell me that you don’t want to lose your “things” it just means that you are NOT ready to change your circumstances.

You see, when you are truly ready to leave an abusive relationship, NOTHING will stop you from leaving, NOTHING will stop you from the change. I may not be able to physically help you but I can listen, I can suggest, I can be there for you; when you are ready. GOD IS WITH YOU, TOO!  You may not feel HIM or see HIM, but he is there waiting for you, helping you, trying to show you HIS way.

Satan, the devil, has a short time on earth. It’s foretold in the Bible at Revelations 12: 10-12 … it says: “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

Basically to me it says that the devil is doing all in his power to make our lives on earth a tortuous one. However, in Matthew Chapter 5 verse 6 it says: “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”  SO pray! Tell our heavenly Father all your troubles, ask for deliverance from the abuse you are in, PRAY my brothers and sisters.

Psalm 33:1 “REJOICE in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the uprights is beautiful.”

Pray with your whole heart, your whole soul and your whole mind. Give your troubles to God.  In 1 Peter 5:7 it says: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”  and in  Philippians 4:6-7 it says:  “…do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

God is here, if you’ll let him in. I’m here if you need a more physical person to talk to.

You see, it took me 13 1/2 years to leave my first husband. I thought it was better for our children to be with their father. I didn’t know that what I was doing to them by staying was way worse than leaving. I was abused growing up so it took me a very long time to know that what he was doing was abusive to both me and my three children. In the end of our marriage, I turned to God. It brought on more abuse and way worse than I had ever experienced with him than before. Now I KNOW that it was Satan, the devil, directing him and his moods; When I asked God into my life, Satan was terrified of loosing. And loosing he did! He lost me and my children as we are now God’s children and I pray forever more we will stay that way. As you can see, it got worse before I left and then it got good! ( I know, proper English and all that..lol) But it’s how I’d talk to you in person so I won’t change it. I am now happily married going on 16 years to a great and wonderful man, who not only helped me raise my children but who had adopted them to make them his children too.

GOD helped me in so many ways. And HE can for you too. Just believe! Abuse in all forms, hurt; emotionally, physically.. you name it; I’ve been through it all. I’m ever so thankful that God brought me out of it alive. I sit here typing this to hopefully help you.

If my stories that I share help you, please let me know. If there are questions you would like to ask, then ask them. I have nothing to hide. I want to help, if you are truly in need of it and want it. Change is a very scary thing, but it can also be a great gift and wonderful blessing from our heavenly Father God.

Much Love to you,

Lou-Ellen
