Domestic Violence

Judgments may make or break you, your choice

My family had a major “discussion” about me writing about the family and “running their name through the mud” deal.  I tried to explain that no MAJOR names were mentioned. I never named my abusers, and I only named the women who helped me through the years–FIRST names only. Oh and my current husband, his first name only too. However, you have my name, therefore you can find us both if you wanted to. lol

Most people won’t know whose family I belong to as I have remarried and moved over 3,000 miles away. HOWEVER, it never stopped my family from judging my book and yelling at me. Yet if felt that they blamed me for being abused.

Now, you’re probably thinking that my family is mean, well, you have to understand that no one wants to think badly of their family member. For years  I have kept this secret. YEARS! So, of course, no one will like what I have to say now.

But I tell you, you can overcome their judgment. It doesn’t have to be kept a secret. Your peace of mind, your HEALING is much more IMPORTANT than how people see you, judge you, etc.

But in the end, it’s your choice. You can choose to hide and not “rock the boat” or you can choose to move forward and HEAL.

Me, I’m going to heal! It’s been over 40 years and I’m ready to let go and move forward. To live a healthier, happier life.

what’s your choice? Won’t you tell me?
